One field marketing and technical installation agency we built for had hundreds of field workers across multiple locations, and ran them on Excel and WhatsApp. Today 100+ field workers receive their schedule, do the work and report through one platform.
Where it started
Schedules were built in Excel. To send them out, managers took screenshots and shared them over WhatsApp. Reports were filled in on paper and typed up the next morning. There was no real-time view of the field, no reliable margin data and no structured way to match the right worker to the right task.
The right worker on the right task
Planners create tasks, select workers by capability and availability, generate the schedule and dispatch it to the mobile app. Schedules that took hours to distribute now reach field workers instantly.
Reports the client signs on the spot
Field workers report from the mobile app while the work is happening, and the client signs off digitally on site. Paper reports are gone, and management follows operations as they happen on a live dashboard.
What each task actually cost
Planning and time tracking live in the same system. The agency sees what was planned and what it actually cost to deliver, down to individual tasks.
Room for the next application
The system has since been extended with additional application layers as new needs came up, without replacing the core. One data layer with separate apps on top is what makes that possible.
